PRESS RELEASE
ACC School of Commerce
January 27, 2010

ACC School of Commerce will admit new generation students to its newly introduced Bachelor of Business Administration Program which will develop the potential of students seeking to start a career as a business entrepreneur.
It will also offer 70 scholarship grants for the 4-year academic program, with the grants to be supported by the school’s alumni who have successful businesses.
Mr. Chareon Usanachitt, ACC alumni and Chairman of the ACC Bachelor Degree Development Program, said that the introduction of this new educational center called “ACC School of Commerce” managed by Assumption University, stemmed from the need of a program with a sound curriculum that serves graduates starting a professional career. “It is imperative that a curriculum provides the kind of instructions and training for undergrads that can help them start a professional career. A quality faculty with high standards in academic performance that ACC School of Commerce has prepared aims to achieve that goal”
Mr. Thanachai Theeraphattanavong, Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee for the ACC BBA Program, said: “It is most important for “ACC School of Commerce” to accept from all over the country the best new students, who are full of determination and hope to pursue the best education so that they could acquire the most desirable professional career after graduation. However, such students are not so easy to acquire. We are thus offering scholarships to students studying throughout the 4-year program.”
ACC alumni have pledged their support by establishing a Fundraising Committee which will allocate funds for scholarships to the top students, supply of education materials and construction of additional buildings, among other expenses.
A total number of 70 scholarship grants worth 500,000 Baht is divided into 40 for the first batch of students of the 4-year BBA Programs, 20 for the second batch and 10 for the third batch.
“The future of ACC school of Commerce rests on the shoulders of our alumni. We hope everyone will support the scholarships as much as possible, and help to make all alumni aware of this need,” Mr. Thanachai said.
