On 18 October, 2010, we had our trip to Laem Chabang, Chon
Buri. On the way to Laem Chabang early morning, we got lost due to
flood, so we arrived 45 minutes late in Evergreen Shipping Agency (Thailand) Ltd., but
we did not worry because we were excited to see the port and the Evergreen
Company.
When we arrived in Evergreen, the company public relations
officer started to speak about the company history, its locations, buildings
and facilities, as well as its operation and future plan. He also talked about
the x-ray machine radiation detector and infringe copyright burning event. In addition, he informed us that Evergreen is
the very first private company in Laem Chabang Port. The port then became the
most famous port in Thailand.
Then, by bus, we went to see the 23-storey tower to see the
bird’s eye view of the port. We saw the over-all picture of the port including
the activities, machines, equipments, and transportation running and moving
around the port.
After that, we went inside the Evergreen’s ship. We were grouped
into two to learn how the ship crew worked on the ship. First, we met the
captain and informed us about his responsibilities. Next, we moved to the
upper deck to observe the ship’s control room and had some conversations with
Mr. Henry, the co-captain. He told us about his experience especially during inclement weather and how he survived the storm.
Then we had special lunch at Cape Racha Hotel courtesy of the Evergreen President Khun Nivat Changariyavavong. We enjoyed eating and sharing our experience together. After the meal, we gave a token of appreciation to him. In return, the president gave away some souvenirs to us after giving his inspirational talk. Although we met some problems in the morning, the educational trip was memorable.

On 4 September 2010, we visited TV Direct Company, a well-known direct sale company inThailand. TV Direct is consists of three departments: Advertising media and multimedia. We were very happy to learn many things in TV Direct Company. The staff encouraged us to participate in many activities.
We arrived at 9 A.M. and immediately proceeded in the meeting
room where we listened about the company
history and its working system. We
were divided into three groups to visit three departments alternatively. The
first group went to after sale service department. This section communicates
with the customer after using the products of TV Direct. They ask the customers
about the product performance, and offer how to use them to meet customers’
optimum satisfaction.
In the advertising media department, we were asked to design brochures and made graphic works according to the instruction by the TV Direct Staff. Finally, we enjoyed in the television broadcasting department. We created a simulated tv advertisement - we played as actors, created a theme for selling a product, and made ideas how to convince people to use their product. After all the activities in each department, the company staff announced the group with the best performance and rewarded the winners with their products. From this trip, we learned teamwork and developed creativity.
Learn@Site#2 Nation Multimedia Group

One of the most
exciting days for ACC School of Commerce students was the opportunity to visit
the Nation Multimedia Group on August 3 last year. On the trip, we had fun
by playing a couple of games on the bus.
When we arrived there, we were warmly welcomed by The Nation staff and the
Chairman of the Board Mr. Tananchai Teerapattanavon on the meeting hall. He
made a brief company profile presentation including The Nation history, its
products, and operations. After the presentation, Mr. Tananchai gave away an Iphone to students by way of a raffle. The Nation
also prepared a sumptuous lunch for us and the teache
rs who accompanied us.
After this, we proceeded to The Nation printing press where we learned the
process of printing magazines and newspapers. The company generously gave away
souvenir bags and books they published. It was a significant day for us as we
gained full exposure in the printing and publication business.
